Join Our Cause

It takes everyone in a community to keep it safe for our children and future generations to come.  Whether you are a parent, grandparent, family member, college student, community member or even a youth, everyone has a critical role in creating a community that is safe, healthy, and drug-free.

We’d like to extend an invitation for you to join the WCPC as a volunteer, sponsor, and/or partner. Or, follow along with us on our journey!

In 2019, an average of 38 people died each day from overdoses involving prescription opioids, totaling more than 15,000 deaths. While prescription opioids were involved in over 28% of all opioid overdose deaths in 2019, there was a nearly 7% decrease in prescription opioid-involved death rates from 2018 to 2019.
Some risk factors are beyond our control whether we possess them or not. Especially for youth who cannot control their situations or surroundings.
